Super Hero 4th Birthday

This last year Tyler has been excited about super heroes, Spiderman, Batman, Hulk, Captain America, and Superman. For his Birthday he wanted to be the Hulk. Honestly, I have no idea how he even knows who that is. The only Super hero who has been introduced to him is Spiderman by Grandpa Knight, but he seems to know most of them by name now.
For his preschool class he got to take a napkin and a cookie. He chose Batman cookies and Dark Knight batman napkins. We didn't want to do a big party this year with everything that has been going on, so we did a play date in the afternoon on a weekday. I asked Ty which of his friends are his best friends, he said, "All my friends are my best friends mom!" He is so sweet. That made it hard to narrow down to a small little get together for his birthday, but we did it and had a great time with Jace, Nolan, Candace, Katelynn and Ryan. We made superhero capes with their initial on it. The kids ran around and jumped in the jumper pretending to be super heros.
Happy Birthday to our Little Super Four Year Old! It has gone by so fast. His birth seems like a little bit of a blur now. He is a little boy that we are so proud of. We had an observation/conference at his preschool this week and were happy to hear what the teacher had to say. "He is inquisitive, social, and has exceptional critical thinking skills....Tyler loves his classmates...he understands expectation of behavior and is a good role model." Very proud moment for me:) We as parents don't get affirmation very often, but when someone says something nice like that it feels like a huge pat on the back.  This week went a toured a Kindergarten for him which he will start in September 2014. We have lots of decisions to make before then, so we wanted to get an early start. Before we know it he will be starting elementary school.

Our only Halloween family photo. Iron Man, Mr. Stark and Pepper Potts from the Movie Iron Man.  Ang was a little pumpkin princess.
