My Daddy the Reverend

Yoshikazu Takiya and mommy and daddy- Yoshi knows Great Grandpa Jackson from Spring Arbor. Mommy and Daddy met him at the Annual Conference for the Pacific Coast Japanese Free Methodist Conference.

My daddy became a Reverend on Saturday. I am so proud of him. It was so neat to see so many of daddy's friends and family come to celebrate with him. As you can see from the picture there were lots of people at the Mission Valley Free Methodist Church in San Gabriel for the ordination. Our friend and Pastor, Paul Kim, was also ordained.
Grandma and Grandpa Knight came to visit also. They spent a lot of time with me. They got up at 6:ooam with me so mommy could sleep. They watched me so mommy and daddy could go to a really fun birthday party for their friend Lutz. They did another fun photo shoot with me too. Here are some of the pictures. I know when I am having my picture taken and I am a ham.

Daddy wanted to pike my hair for the picture.

My Second Trip: Louisiana

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle and Miriam Krober

This weekend we got to go to Louisiana for the Krober/Tyndall wedding. Daddy was a groomsmen. It was a quick trip. but we had a great time and I slept pretty well for being out of town. We left Friday morning and arrived in New Orleans at about 4:00pm, just in time to drive to Baton Rouge, get daddy changed and to the rehearsal. After a slight detour that the GPS took him and Grandpa on, he made it in time to get instructions for the wedding and head back to the hotel for the rehearsal dinner. I took a little nap while we waited for him. I did well on the airplane on the way there. I slept a little while and played with daddy for a while. I got to stay up a little later than usual to go to the rehearsal dinner.
The next day was the wedding, but it wasn't until 6pm, so we got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Knight. We went to lunch at BJ's with all the Krober family and then went back and went swimming in the pool. Look at the trick that Grandpa taught me:) Then, we went to the wedding. Mommy had fun running around taking pictures while Grandpa played with me in hallway during the wedding. We went to the reception afterward and I spent time with my friends Sophia and Brooke. I got really tired and cried because I wanted to go to bed.
On Sunday morning we got up and headed to New Orleans. We stopped at a plantation on the way, called Nottoway. It was huge. Grandma and mommy took there own un-guided tour, which they found out later they probably were not supposed to do. They had fun though. They walked around taking pictures and finding hidden passageways.
After the stop at the plantation we were on our way to the French Quarter. I was so tired and screamed for about 1/4 of the trip. I finally fell asleep about 30 minutes from New Orleans and slept for about 2 hours in the car seat. I did not even see Burbon St., or any of the neat architecture in the French quarter. I missed the fried shrimp, gumbo and crawfish. I woke up in just enough time to get back in the car and head to the airport. The trip home was a little rough for me. I did not want to sleep or eat. I just wanted to move around. Daddy wasn't feeling well and mommy was tired, but they played with me. When we got to the car at the airport I feel right asleep at 9:30 and did not wake up when mommy moved me to my crib. I was home safe after a fun filled weekend in Louisiana.
