Tyler Turns 5

Five is a big milestone birthday and calls for big celebrations. Tyler was really excited to celebrate his fifth birthday with his friends and family! As a five year old he has a lot of great characteristics. He is naturally athletic, silly and smart. At his recent parent teacher conference his teacher had nothing but positive things to say. She wrote, "Tyler is spontaneous, resourceful, and enthusiastic. He stimulates play. He has lots of ideas and expresses himself to his peers. He is a team players but also is content to do things on his own. He seems to always be happy and upbeat. He makes the best of every situation whether he initiates it or not. Tyler is a doer. He is always busy exploring some aspect of the classroom and outside set-up. His is silly and entertaining in an appropriate way. He can also be very serious and pensive. I love his spunk and his "charming" personality." I feel like this is a good description of him.

Some Fun Facts:
1. Tyler told someone not to say something the other day because his Grandpa says it's wrong and he is a judge.
2. We went to McDonalds for the first time the other day to meet some of his class mates. I was ordering something and he says, "Mom can I have oatmeal?"
3. He likes bananas and eggs, but not in the morning. He loves rice and hummus!
4. He can shoot a basketball better than most of the 6 years olds in his basketball class.
5. He loves to wear mesh shorts and sweat pants.
6. He told us the other day he wants to learn Korean because he wants to talk to the people in Korean at our favorite restaurant.

Thank Heaven for Grandparents!!!

The months following school starting and before Christmas always seem to get away from me. Here are some photos from those in between times. Thank you Grandpa Knight for documenting the fun times! You and Carol were a huge help the last few months! Thanks for taking the Cali-Sota cousins on some So Cal adventures and for taking care of Ty and Ang while I was out of town!
