6 Weeks and Potty Training Ty

This is an interesting mixture...a newborn and potty training a toddler, but we have officially survived. Tyler started potty training Monday May 24th. I am so proud of him and how well he has been doing. We have been talking about it for months and taking him with us to the bathroom and he got really interested. We decided to go for it. I took Tyler to pick out his own potty chair and "big boy" underwear at Target. They had some potties that sang sounds or made a flushing sound, but he wanted the simplest one called "my little potty" by Bright Starts. It was really funny to me, but I was all about it because also happen to be the least expensive also. I did not even sway toward that one he chose it:) It is easy to clean and is not bulky...I think he made a good choice. I also printed off a sticker chart to give him stickers each time he used it. He loves stickers, so that has been great! We have had a few accidents, but overall, he has been wearing "big boy" underwear during the day for a week and a half now(even during his naps).
Tyler spent a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa Knight this week. They took him on bus and train rides, on walks to Pasadena City College, to Starbucks and on convertible rides. He had a hard time loosing that attention when they left. Right before Grandma and Grandpa left Tyler got sick. He had a fever, threw up, and had a bad cough. They tried to make him comfortable and Grandma even spent time with Tyler in the middle of the night trying to help him get comfortable and sleep. Poor guy had a cough so bad he couldn't sleep. You know Tyler is sick when he asks to take a nap, or even two, which was the case yesterday. It is Thursday and he still feels yucky, so we are going to visit the doctor this afternoon.

Angela is 6 weeks old now. She smiles a lot right when she first wakes up. She is a really good baby. She barely ever cries, except when she is hungry or has a wet diaper. She is so easy going. She has been sleeping well the last few nights. She has had a few nights were she slept 5 hours straight and she sleeps a lot during the day. She weighs 11lbs. and is a little chunky monkey. She really enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa around to talk to and smile at. Grandpa and fun taking lots of pictures of her. Angela has managed to stay healthy even though Ty is sick, but I was worried the other night when she had a fever of 99.5. The doctor said to make sure to call her if it went above 100.5. Fortunately it did not.

6 Weeks and smiling

This was my favorite picture of the week. He was so happy running off the Frisbee field because daddy let him play with the big guys.

This is daddy's new office at Keller Williams. He made his way into the top 10 agents out of 200 agents. If you do that you get the option of having an office verses a cubicle. He likes to stand that is why his desk is so tall. Tyler likes to go to daddy's office to get gum.

On their bus tour, Gma and Gpa took Ty to Boston Market for lunch. He lust have been hungry...look at him stuff his face with mac n cheese.
Memorial Day weekend

When Tyler goes on walks with daddy they find all sorts of fruit to eat. Here is a loquat.

Angela likes to hit the toys on her play mat and hear them jingle.
He can not walk down stairs, he has to jump.
